 Quality Assurance Department

Time Machine is committed to quality. This is one of the important reasons why
customers select Time Machine as a supplier. Time is in the process of obtaining an
ISO9000 certification and should be certified by April 2001.

The office for the Quality Assurance Department is kept at 68 degrees F. to
minimize the affects of heat on the measurement of a part. For critical inspection
requirements, parts are brought to this temperature prior to measurement.

Time Machine's Quality Assurance Department has an impressive collection of
inspection equipment that includes the following:
  • A Sheffield Cordax programmable coordinate measuring machine that can
    inspect parts up to 40 inches (1016 mm) wide, 20 inches (508 mm) high and
    25 inches (635 mm) deep.

  • A Bendix Profilometer for inspecting the surface finish of parts down to 0.1
    microinch (0.0025 micrometer).

  • A Rockwell hardness tester.
